1) Make One thick butterfly wing shape.
2) Cut thin slices
for each wing.
3) Paint.
4) Glue two wings
to a colored pipecleaner for the body and antennas.
5) Hang them by transparent
nylon threads.
TIP:
Save
some painting time by tracing the pattern onto both sides of one
extra thick foam wing. Make indentations on this thick wing with
the Hot Wire Engraving Tool where all the base color (yellow in
this case) will be. Paint all the wings their base color and let
them dry. Then use the thick engraved wing as a stamp, by sponging
paint (black in this case) on the raised portions and pressing them
onto each of the wings.
