Portable Z Scale Train Layout

The project is "Alaska in a Box". Wanted to be able to easily transport the layout to different shows and functions - a typical drawback of larger scale layouts ...Nice to be able to put the trains away (easily) when you're done with them.

The blue track is electrical tape covering the track to keep paint and debris off while painting. I did remove the coating on the DOW Blueboard foam. I will send you a complete progression series of photos when I am done, highlighting the Hot Knife. The photos didn't show the box that holds the layout that I am staining while the foam work progresses. I have a hidden port in the side of the box to the power pack and a hidden access panel to the transformer dial.

There are 4 brown bears in the stream flowing to the lake and 4 polar bears on the icebergs on the right. I am waiting on production of a 7 inch version of our vacation cruise ship to add to front right water area on the layout. Your hot wire products made the mountain construction a snap!
