The Free Hand Router gives one the ability of a sculpting tool but with the rigid ability to make strong, authoritarian cuts and designs.

I bought the Variable Pro because I use a big variety of foams and make a lot of different stuff. I thought the power knob would allow for much needed adjustment.

Turns out I have it on full power most of the time because the powerpack is a little underrated for the applications. Save your cash and buy the 4 setting one. You will need it on full power most of the time.

I bought the full kit.

I have found the hot knife to be the absolute best tool. I have used a lot of smaller hobby cutters etc in the past and this tools tops them all. Versatile, able to get into tricky places, cut holes, add surface detail. It is a little flimsy but does most jobs extremely well.

The small bow cutter/carver is a useful tool as always for basic sculpting. Like most other you would use. It has small problems with the screw fixing being not always secure but on the whole a useful addition.

The Engrave is just that. Suitable for its purpose, but unless youare doing alot of engraving it is less used than the first 2.

The Freehand Router: Bendable cutting "blade" that can cut odd profiles. This tool has never done what I wanted from it. The blade is too thin/flimsy and the shape never hold completely. So any kind of precision work is not possible. If you are doing sculpture and more freeform stuff this tool might work for you. It did nothing for me. It is now relgated to the "Tools I don't use" Drawer...
