Love this tool. It comes in handy and I am so glad I purchased it!

Purchased this knife at a Halloween convention and it was probably the best purchase made at the show. It has versatility to make full sheet cuts or the smallest detailed cuts. Much stronger than the 4 inch knife. It enabled me to carve faux cemetery monuments with the realistic 3D vaulted capitals. highly recommend this hot knife.

We have been building props and costumes for about 4 years. We use a variety of materials including EVA foam and pink insulation foam on many of our projects.
We have used this hot knife for many projects including armor, prop weapons, giant claws, and more!
When we begin a project requiring pink insulation foam, we always use the 8" or 6" Pro Hot Knife to cut out our basic shapes.
The 6" Pro Hot knife is our favorite Hot Wire Foam Factory tool. The blade is durable even when you apply too much pressure from time to time while cutting. It will bend but has yet to break.
We originally used the standard Hot Knife and ended up breaking that blade. We would recommend using the Pro versions for sure!

I purchased a kit for a set build of a high school production. I ordered the 3" hot knife as part of our kit and quickly realized that I needed to add the 6". In the course of one weekend, the 3 inch and 6 inch both stopped working, and our Freehand Router kept losing heat as well. The hot knives stopped working entirely, but the router would start working again if you turned it off for a while and restarted it. I've sent an email but have not heard back yet. I LOVED the tools up until the point they stopped working, though. My hope is to hear something back from customer service regarding possible solutions.

A super hot wire. Just ordered my third one in 5 years. Wouldn't think of using any other kind. Have cut up a ton of foam. Again, SUPER!!!!
