OMG. No more plaster use for my projects!! This exterior foam coat is awesome. I tested it by applying it to my styrofoam then blasted it with a high pressure water hose (apx 20 feet from target) then for kicks I took a sand blaster (apx 30 feet from target) to it so I could see what weather would do. Not 1 dent, scrape, or puncture anywhere. This stuff dries really fast and is really hard as rock when dry. If you want a product that will give you a stable long lasting finished project this is what you need. And NO I do not work for this company. But I will be buying stock if it is available!
Update on my previous comment. Though I still absolutely love and reccomend this products to artists, I have now come across the problem that there are no guidelines to help you ensure that your wire is at exactly 90* parallel to the base board. If Hotwire foam factory could create these with a protractor on the back board, and a line on the metal arm, then it would be easier to line up to 90* and ensure a totally parallel cut!
I've used All Purpose Foam Coat extensively for several years. I make display BattleBoards (display boards) for toy soldier collectors. I create the the boards out of construction grade foam board. But without coating them, the boards can be susceptible to nicks and dings. With foam coat the boards are much more durable and less likely to be dinged. As a side benefit, Foam Coat provides some additional texture to terrain features. I highly recommend this product!
I was so super nervous ordering this. I had previously purchased a cnc machine and after 4 months gave up on it. Could not cut a single letter. I had a few conversations with Joe, who is awesome! We worked through files I sent him and he assured me I was on the right track. Within the second major day of cutting everything came out perfect. Yesterday I cut about 40 names out and all were perfect! I am beyond excited about this machine and the future of what we can do as a business!!
