Pro 8-Inch Hot Knife - #035P (Needs Pro Power)

We have been building props and costumes for about 4 years. We use a variety of materials including EVA foam and pink insulation foam on many of our projects.

We have used this hot knife for many projects including armor, prop weapons, giant claws, and more!

When we begin a project requiring pink insulation foam, we always use the 8" or 6" Pro Hot Knife to cut out our basic shapes.

The 8" knife is useful on thicker foams. The blade is durable even when you apply too much pressure from time to time while cutting. It will bend but has yet to break.

We originally used the standard Hot Knife and ended up breaking that blade. We would recommend using the Pro versions for sure!

This tool is a must-have if trying to make clean cuts through inches of foam. I wouldn’t be able to create my village displays without it; to divide up large displays into sections, to make holes for light cords through thick layers or foam. It’s indispensible!
