Crafters Sculpting Tool Kit #K02

Great tool! It's still working after about 100 hours of use!

I use a number of HWFF tools to create holiday village displays, but this Sculpting Tool is by far my most used. I use it primarily for carving cliffs and rock edges, and its quality craftsmanship allows me to slice up pieces in no time.
The blade can be bent to carve shapes, but I find it too flexible for this purpose (for this work, I use the Freehand Router Tool). 90% of the time I use the Wire Tensioner addon, which I HIGHLY recommend.
The Sculpting Tool is an absolute workhorse, and I recommend it to any foam hobbyist.

I purchased the #K02-Crafters Sculpting tool Kit about 4 years ago.
We needed a more detailed cut than a traditional hot knife could provide for a church castle diorama during Vacation Bible School.

This allowed us to carve in great detail at an amazing pace. Not only was the castle wall cut and carved, but we were able to form a throne, and many more wall decorations.

I have since used it on hundreds of other craft projects, from automotive accessories to tabletop gaming. This is the finest Hot Wire Foam Factory tool I have ever used and will last you for years and years to come.

I just received my K02 and love it....I am a model railroader and working on the foam mountains as a base for my scenery.
Without casting aspersions, model railroading is a huge hobby and most model the coal fields of central Appalachia. And the hot tool all of them use is from Woodland Scenics. You probably know of that model they make. However, it is short-lived. I have gone through three in two years...the electronics burn up.
But your product is wonderful. You SHOULD buy an add in Model Railroader and/or Railroad Model Craftsman. I think you have a real winner with your products.

Great product, easy to use. I would recommend playing with the tool on some scrap foam to get a feel of the tool and see what you can do with it.
