Freehand Router #018 (Needs Pro Power)

The Free Hand Router gives one the ability of a sculpting tool but with the rigid ability to make strong, authoritarian cuts and designs.

This tool is used for all my insulation board carvings for my Dept 56 village displays. I love that I can bend the wire to make very intricate cuts. This is a must have for any hobbyist who collects and displays their Dept 56 pieces.
The only problem I have had with this and the other hand sculpting tools is the on and off switch tends to overheat and stop working and then needing replaced otherwise the tools are perfect.

I have nothing but praise for Hot Wire Foam Factory and its products. All work amazingly well, but I LOVE the Freehand Router! It's flexible nature allows me to custom make the shape of the cut. It's so fast and easy. You have a customer for life!

We have been building props and costumes for about 4 years. We use a variety of materials including EVA foam and pink insulation foam on many of our projects.

After cutting out basic shapes in insulation foam with the 6" or 8" Pro Hot Knife, we use the Freehand Router to refine and sculpt the foam. The Router is perfect for both organic and precise shapes.

The ability to bend the wire allows you to make any shape you need. From large curves to tiny trenches, really anything you can think of! We've used it to make armor that resembled bone, dagger blades, a huge axe and even creature claws!
