Basic 4-Inch Hot Knife Kit #K11B

Very happy with my purchase. Information about mailing was very informative and delivery was fast. I'm enjoying my tool very much. The hot knife is very easy to use, allowing me to make quite few crafts for my Dickens Village.

Great little tool. Had a malfunction with the original one that was sent and notified the company. They responded quickly to my concern and sent a replacement free of charge. Very pleased with their customer service.

This hot knife will cut XPS foam, but I probably selected the wrong tool for my application, and may have been better off with the shorter version. At the start of my project, I wasn't sure the maximum cut depth I would need. While cutting 1" or 2" deep, I found this knife to cut quite slowly, and this made it difficult to make freehand cuts accurately. I had the best results when following a metal guide for the rectangular cut. One trick I found was to loop the power cable behind my neck, this kept the power wires away from the blade.
