Add water or Boost to powder and mix until Create Coat turns to a smooth paste. You can add more powder or liquid until you have your ideal paste. Do not overmix. If you plan to apply multiple coats, you MUST use Boost as part of the liquid ingredient! Create Coat DOES NOT stick to itself! Do you mix create coat with the exterior coat?

Hi Bertha,
No you cannot mix them, but you can apply a layer of Create Coat over Exterior Foam Coat.
Keep in mind that subsequent coatings won't stick too well to Create Coat because it's super smooth and water resistant.
To be thrifty (Create Coat is more expensive than Exterior Foam Coat) and to get more strength, you can apply a single layer of Create Coat over All Purpose or Exterior Foam Coat

I'm trying to get a porcelain surface treatment for one of the sculptures. Not sure how to get that glassy stone finish?

If your sculpture is not too big, you can get a smooth finish by simply banging on your foam sculpture after you coat it. The foam coat will liquefy for an instant, smoothing out your brush strokes. You will definitely want to try this on a test piece first. Note: Create Coat won't stick well to itself without adding Boost, and once you add Boost it becomes super difficult to sand.

Create Coat can be smoothed as it dries. You can even use wet-and-dry sandpaper on it just before it hardens.

Most of my form projects are for building back ground feature in vivariums. Many which are made to look like rocks. The grits can be added to the coating finish to add to the realisum of the rock features. I often paint over the coating to give depth. Adding the grit to the foam coat can sometime be lost if to much paint is applied afterward. But the grit can also be added in brushed on paint to add another depth of realisum to these rock features.
